How To Keep Your Salads Interesting

How To Keep Your Salads Interesting

I try and eat a salad every day for lunch. These are my tips to keep your salads interesting :-)

Tip 1: Use Left-Overs

Look in your fridge and pantry. Keep your eyes out for: chicken, steak, hard-boiled eggs, roasted veggies, rice... anything!

Tip 2: Look in the Pantry

Most of us have a pantry with a bottomless pit, see what you can find! Your looking for nuts, beans (i.e. black, kidney, gorgonzola), granola, anything that looks good.

Tip 3: Grab what's Fresh

A good salad needs some crunch. Your looking for peppers, red onions, carrots, green beans, etc. While you are looking for something crunchy, keep your eyes alert for fresh parsley. Many times we buy fresh herbs for a recipe and forget about the rest. This is a good way to use it up!

Tip 4: Keep your Dressing Simple

If you have over powering dressings, your salads will taste the same no matter what you put in it. You need a dressing that will enhance the natural flavors of your salad. That is why I use Wozz's vinegars and dressings.

How did I make these salads?

Spinach, Left Over Chicken, Cucumber, Blueberries, Strawberries, Wozz's Spiced Beet Vinegar.
